Jose Mourinho has endured an indifferent start to his reign as Manchester United manager.

The Red Devils won their first three league games under the former Chelsea boss, but have since then recorded just one win in six, which was a 4-1 triumph over champions Leicester on September 24.

During that run, they have lost to neighbours Manchester City and Mourinho’s former employers Chelsea, leaving them seventh in the table and already six points adrift of Pep Guardiola’s City at the top.

Nevertheless, United beat their neighbours 1-0 in the League Cup last 16 on Wednesday night, with Juan Mata netting the winning goal, and that could spark a decent run of form for Mourinho and his United team.

Unsurprisingly, United’s sluggish first few months of the season has increased speculation about who they may look to sign in the January transfer window, and one area Mourinho could look at is his striking options.

The Red Devils have scored just 13 goals in the league this season, four of which from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but they all came in the first four games of the campaign.

Thus, here are THREE forwards Mourinho could look to sign in January…
