Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool host Swansea City this lunchtime (12.30pm kick-off) in what is their first Premier League home game of 2017.

The Reds registered their first win of the New Year with a hard-fought 1-0 success over Plymouth Argyle on Wednesday, which secured their place in the last 32 of the FA Cup where they will face Championship Wolves at Anfield a week today.

Nonetheless, it is back to league action for Klopp’s men this weekend, and they’ll hope to record a 14th league victory of the campaign when Paul Clement’s struggling Swans visit Merseyside today.

The Welsh side are bottom of the Premier League having won just four of their 21 league games, but they know that a win would take them out of the bottom three.

However, it’s going to be a tough ask against a Liverpool side that have yet to lose at Anfield this season, and need the three points to keep the pressure on league leaders Chelsea, who play on Sunday.

Thus, with the Reds really needing all three points, here are THREE reasons why they will beat Swansea this lunchtime…
