Huddersfield Town are through to the fourth round of the FA Cup after a 4-0 win over their League One opposition Port Vale.

Jack Payne got a brace for Town, with his goals coming either side of half-time. Kasey Palmer and substitute Harry Bunn also scored in the second-half.

The win for Town was their first victory by two or more goals this season.

The defeat for Vale was the first time caretaker Manager Michael Brown has seen his side lose since taking over.

Young winger Isiah Brown made his debut for the hosts on his 20th birthday. Brown joined the Yorkshire side on on loan from Chelsea on Friday for the remainder of the campaign.

Huddersfield have already gone one better than their cup campaign of last season, after being eliminated in a third round replay at the hands of Reading.

David Wagner’s side now go into the fourth round draw which will commence on Monday evening.
