5 things we learned from Huddersfield Town v Port Vale

Huddersfield’s run continues

David Wagner’s (Pictured) side have now extended their unbeaten run to eight matches in all competitions. They have not lost a game since their 2-1 defeat to Wigan Athletic back in November 2016.

They simply outclassed their lower league opposition and Town could have probably won by more than four.

Wagner praised his side for their performance on Saturday afternoon.

He said, “We scored four great goals and we created many more good opportunities.”

It was also a chance for Huddersfield to bring in both new and returning players to the side.

Wagner added, “We were able to give some players minutes like Joe Lolley and Izzy Brown.”

The win gives them more momentum going into their next league game against Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday. Both Town and Wednesday are very much in the hunt to be in the play-offs.

If Wagner’s men can keep picking up results in the way they have been over Christmas, then they are almost guaranteed a spot in the play-offs come May.
