Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for AC Milan, according to the Mirror.

The Premier League side, who sit third in the top-flight standings, ten points adrift of leaders Chelsea, have been linked with offloading the summer signing come the end of the current 2016-17 campaign after a disappointing debut term at White Hart Lane.

The 27-year-old, who has 50 international caps for France, has failed to scored in 24 appearances in all competitions for Spurs this season, providing just four assists.

Sissoko, who joined Tottenham back in August following his reported £30m switch from Championship outfit Newcastle United, has failed to nail down a starting spot under manager Mauricio Pochettino, starting just six Premier League fixtures this campaign.

The report suggests Serie A giants AC Milan could offer the Frenchman an escape route out of White Hart Lane, despite Sissoko being Spurs’ joint-club record signing, alongside Erik Lamela.
