Agent claims Manchester United have reached an agreement on Griezmann deal

Manchester United look set to be the focus of the summer rumour mill once again this year, after their protracted deal for France international Paul Pogba dominated the back pages a year ago.

This time around it seems another Frenchman could be bound for Old Trafford with Altetico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann supposedly a top target.

Now, however, it seems the deal could have stepped up a degree as a former FIFA accredited agent is claiming that a financial deal to take last summer’s Euro 2016 Golden Boot winner from the Spanish capital to Manchester.

Griezman, whose Atletico side knocked Premier League champions Leicester City out of the Champions League last week, is having another outstanding season under the guise of manager Diego Simone.

Off the back of his success at the European Championships last summer, the 26-year-old has scored 25 goals and setup a further 11 in all competitions, helping his side to third in La Liga and the semi-finals of both the Champions League and Copa Del Rey.
