The agent of Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne is looking to secure a January move to Liverpool for his client, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The Italy international is reportedly desperate to get out of the Serie A club, and is looking to engineer a dream move to Anfield as soon as possible.

The 25-year-old, who was brought to tears on Wednesday after he was taunted and mocked by his own fans having missed a penalty against Besiktas, has supposedly his a dead end in his contract negotiations with his current club, who consider his wage demands of £100k-a-week too high.

Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, is reportedly a fan of the attacker, who has scored 29 goals and assisted 41 in 176 appearances for Napoli.

However, should the former Dortmund boss want to secure a January deal, he will have to stump up the £44m that the Italian outfit value their wantaway man at.

With such a surfeit of attacking talent at his disposal, Klopp may not be too keen on spending such a sum on yet another attacking midfielder.
