Leicester City have announced that midfielder Andy King has signed a new four-year contract with the club.

The defending Premier League champions, who travel to newly promoted Hull City on the opening day of the forthcoming 2016/17 English top-flight campaign on August 13, have secured the services of the Wales international until 2020.

The 27-year-old, who has 36 international caps for his country and featured for Wales as Chris Coleman’s side impressively reached the semi-finals of this summer’s European Championships in France, scored three goals and provided two assists in 29 appearances in all competitions for the title-winning Foxes last season.

King, who has lifted the League One, Championship and Premier League title with Leicester in his eight campaigns at the club, is the Foxes’ highest-scoring midfielder of all-time with 59 goals in 331 games.

A graduate of the club’s academy, the Welshman became the only player in the Premier League era to earn winners’ medals in each of England’s top three tier of football with one team in May.

King made his Leicester first-team debut during the goalless encounter against Wolverhampton Wanderers back in October 2007.
