AFC Bournemouth have completed the signing of England international Jack Wilshere on a season-long loan.

The Premier League side, who have only picked up one point from their opening three top-flight fixtures so far this term, have landed the central midfielder on loan from Arsenal.

The 24-year-old, who has 34 international caps for his country and was part of the England squad that competed at Euro 2016 earlier this summer in France, has made two substitute league appearances for the Gunners this season.

Wilshere, who opted for the Cherries instead of the likes of Premier League rivals Crystal Palace and Serie A outfit AS Roma, was restricted to just three league games for Arsene Wenger’s side last term after another injury-stricken campaign at the Emirates Stadium.

Having not been picked in new Three Lions boss Sam Allardyce’s first England squad for the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Slovakia on Sunday, Wilshere has agreed a loan switch to Bournemouth in order to gain more first-team opportunities.

At least the muppet had left a club for a new club who had as much chance of being champions as his OLS club.
