Arsenal and Chelsea are both reportedly interested in signing Turkey international forward Arda Turan this summer, according to Sport (English).

The Premier League duo, who finished second and tenth in the English top-flight standings last term, are on high alert in case FC Barcelona chose to try and offload the winger ahead of the forthcoming 2016/17 campaign.

The 29-year-old, who has 94 international caps for his country and featured for Turkey at this summer’s EURO 2016, scored two goals and provided four assists in 25 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga champions last season.

However Turan, who only arrived at the Camp Nou last July following his £29m switch from Spanish rivals Atletico Madrid, has been restricted to just nine league starts and could be offloaded by Barca boss Luis Enrique following the club’s capture of Denis Suarez.

The report suggests that Chelsea have joined Premier League rivals Arsenal; plus Turkish outfits Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, in the chase for the attacking midfielder, should he be shown the exit door.
