Arsenal and Chelsea are remain interested and are prepared to wait for the right time to strike a deal for Real Madrid striker, Alvaro Morata.

According to reports from Don Balon, the London rivals are still considering a move for the former Juventus forward, who returned to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer as the Galacticos acted on a cheap buy-back clause in his contract.

It was widely rumoured in the summer window that the deal to bring the Spain international back to Madrid was simply part of a financial deal, as he could be sold on for well over double the £25m buy-back fee, however, he has stayed put in Spain, for now.

Since his return, messrs Bale, Ronaldo and Benzema have been in top form, meaning that Morata has been reduced to, what Don Balon call his ‘natural place’ at Madrid, the bench.

There is no suggestion that a deal will materialise in January, or even the summer, however the Premier League duo are seemingly ready and waiting to strike, the second that the 23-year-old becomes unsettled.
