Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly ready to go head-to-head in the race to sign Fulham left-back Ryan Sessegnon, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Gunners tried to complete a £3million deal for the 15-year-old on the last day of the January transfer window, even offering winger Serge Gnabry to the Cottagers on loan as part of the move, but no deal materialised.

While the north London outfit remain interested in the youngster, they have now been joined by Jurgen Klopp’s Reds in the chase to sign the left-sided player, but the Championship strugglers don’t want to sell, meaning it could take a large offer to prise Sessegnon away from Craven Cottage.

The England Under-16s captain has been likened to Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, and with both Premier League clubs looking to strengthen their squads this summer, they could potentially enter into a bidding war for the Three Lions starlet.
