Out-of-favour Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy is the subject of a bid from Bordeaux, according to Le Parisien, via Get French Football News.

The right-back is determined to leave the Emirates this summer after falling behind Hector Bellerin in the pecking order at the club, and spent the second half of the 2015/16 season on loan at the Ligue 1 side, making nine appearances.

Now the French team are keen to bring in the 30-year-old on a permanent deal, and are said to have opened talks with the Gunners over a transfer for the Frenchman, who has become frustrated at his lack of first-team opportunities under Arsene Wenger.

Following a £12 million move from Newcastle United in 2014, Debuchy’s time at the north London outfit has been blighted by injury, and he made just 15 appearances in all competitions in his first year with Arsenal, and just two in 2015/16 before being shipped off to Bordeaux on loan.
