Arsenal will reportedly turn to the services of Sam Byram if they lose Hector Bellerin this summer, according to Transfermarketweb (via 90 Min).

The Premier League side, who finished second in the English top-flight standings behind eventual champions Leicester City last term, have been linked with a move for West Ham United’s full-back following speculation over the future of their fellow defender Bellerin.

Byram; 22, who only joined the Hammers from Championship outfit Leeds United for £3.7m back in January, made four league appearances for Slaven Bilic’s men last season.

The right-back, who signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with West Ham back in the New Year, has been lined up as an ideal replacement by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger should he lose Bellerin to La Liga giants FC Barcelona this summer.

Barca are understood to be interested in re-signing the Spanish full-back, who was released by the Nou Camp outfit as a youngster, following right-back Dani Alves’ switch to Serie A champions Juventus.
