Arsenal have joined North London rivals Tottenham in the race for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, according to The Sun.

The 24-year-old hotshot has had a stellar season at Selhurst Park and is a big reason why they have moved away from the Premier League’s bottom three in recent times, netting six goals and laying on nine assists in 33 appearances for the Eagles this term.

The Ivory Coast international was outstanding as Sam Allardyce’s men beat league leaders Chelsea 2-1 at Stamford Bridge last month, netting the opener in West London, and then grabbed two assists as Palace dispatched Arsene Wenger’s Gunners 3-0 on April 10.

And Wenger clearly liked what he saw of the 24-year-old as the Frenchman has joined the pursuit for the tricky winger, and is reportedly ready to offer either defender Carl Jenkinson or England star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as part of any deal.

25-year-old Jenkinson hasn’t featured for Arsenal since they lost 2-0 to Southampton in the League Cup back in November, while Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has been much-improved in recent weeks, has yet to agree an extension to his contract at the Emirates, which expires at the end of next season.

And Allardyce’s Palace are keen on the Arsenal duo and thus could be tempted to enter a deal with the Gunners, although Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs are likely to have something to say about that given that they have been monitoring Zaha’s situation for several transfer windows.

Ultimately, it does appear that the 24-year-old’s future is away from Selhurst Park, but what side of North London he ends up at next term very much remains to be seen.
