Arsenal are reportedly considering a summer swoop for Spain international forward Marco Asensio, according to Don Balon.

The Premier League side, who have landed defender Sead Kolasinac (Schalke) and striker Alexandre Lacazette (Lyon) already this summer transfer window, have been freshly linked with a stunning move for Real Madrid’s highly-rated winger.

The 21-year-old, who has three international caps for his country, scored 10 goals and provided four assists in 38 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners last season.

Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio.

Asensio, who has been loaned out to fellow Spanish sides Mallorca and Espanyol previously, arrived at the Bernabeu for just €3.9m back in the summer of 2015.

However, after starting just 11 league fixtures last term under manager Zinedine Zidane, the report suggests Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen on the Spaniard’s services, although it is not clear whether they intend to loan him or purchase him outright.
