Arsenal are reportedly ready to reignite their interest in signing Argentina international Mauro Icardi this summer, according to Talksport.

The Premier League side; who finished second in the English top-flight standings last term, have been continually linked with the Inter Milan striker, but are set to step-up their interest following their failed pursuit of England and Leicester City ace Jamie Vardy earlier this week.

The 23-year-old, who made his international debut back in October 2013, scored 16 goals and provided four assists in 34 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A giants last season.

Icardi, who arrived at the San Siro from Italian rivals Sampdoria back in 2013, has now emerged as Gunners boss Arsene Wenger’s top transfer target after Vardy snubbed the Londoners and instead signed a new long-term deal with the Foxes.

The report suggests that Arsenal are ready to reignite their interest in the Argentine and launch a £32m bid.

I don’t really know Icardi that much but if he is the kind of strike who can add something to our front line I will support the club to sign him, at least a club like arsenal should have a striker who is prolific enough to score 20 to 25 premier league goals in a season considering the quality of talented plat makers in the club the will supply him with great passes
