Arsenal are reportedly ready to replace Leicester City target Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with Southampton forward Sadio Mane, according to the Mirror.

The Premier League champions are understood to have made the England international one of their top targets this summer as Claudio Ranieiri looks for players proven at the highest level ahead of their Champions League campaign, with Arsene Wenger ready to let the former Saints man leave.

Injuries have limited Chamberlain’s first team opportunities at the Emirates, with the 22-year-old set to miss Euro 2016 because of a knee problem he picked up in February, although he should be fit for pre-season.

If he does depart, and with fellow attacker Danny Welbeck ruled out for ninth months, Wenger could launch a £17m bid for unsettled Southampton star Sadio Mane, who is said to be keen to leave the club after scoring 21 Premier League goals in 67 appearances since making the move from Red Bull Salzburg in 2014.
