Arsenal have reportedly identified Scotland international defender Kieran Tierney as a summer transfer target, according to the Mirror.

The Premier League side, who have slipped down to sixth spot in the top-flight standings following their 3-1 defeat at West Brom on Saturday, have been continually linked with Celtic’s young full-back.

The 19-year-old, who has two international senior caps for his country, has scored one goal and provided 12 assists in 31 appearances in all competitions for the runaway Scottish Premiership leaders.

Tierney, who has been with The Hoops since he was just seven-years-old, is said to have impressed Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, who is set to stay at the Emirates Stadium beyond the end of the current 2016-17 campaign.

The report suggests that Arsenal’s pursuit of the teenager has cast doubt over fellow left-back Nacho Monreal’s future, plus team-mate’s Kieran Gibbs, who has just over one year remaining on his current contract.
