Blackburn target Premier League midfielder

Blackburn Rovers are reportedly interested in signing Norwich City midfielder Louis Thompson.

The Championship outfit, who appointed former Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert as their new manager over the weekend, are exploring the possibility of bringing in the Canaries star to Ewood Park in the New Year.

Norwich City midfielder Louis Thompson has rejoined League One side Swindon Town on loan until December.

The 20-year-old, who is a Wales Under-21 international, has failed to make a first-team appearance for the Premier League club since sealing a move from Swindon Town in September last year.

However Thompson, whose brother Nathan also plays for Swindon, has returned to the Robins on a loan deal until December, making eight appearances for the League One side in all competitions so far.
