AFC Bournemouth are reportedly considering a move for Hull City defender Michael Dawson.

The newly promoted side are eager to strengthen their defensive ranks before the close of the transfer window as the club aim to stay in the English top-flight during their first-ever Premier League campaign in the club’s history.

The 31-year-old, who has four international caps for England, scored one goal in 28 appearances in the Premier League last season as Steve Bruce’s side suffered relegation back in May.

But with a buy-out clause installed in the centre-half’s contract following Hull’s demotion last term, Cherries boss Eddie Howe is lining up a cut price deal for the former Tottenham defender.
