Patrick Roberts could be heading to Parkhead again next season according to reports.

The Manchester City youngster has been on loan at Parkhead for the past two seasons and is due back at the Etihad this summer although it’s doubtful when he does return he’ll get much of a game next season.

Roberts has been a huge part of Celtic’s success this season playing almost 50 games – more than double that he managed last season.

One of Brendan Rodgers biggest problems in the summer will be keeping hold of Moussa Dembele adding enough quality to the squad to make Celtic competitive and maybe managing secure Roberts services for another season.

Walking the domestic season is one thing but challenging the best teams in Europe is another and Rodgers will be keen to see Roberts, who is capable of causing problems against any side.

Celtic fans have been reacting on social media to the Roberts extending his time at Parkhead stories:

@SamnKrki @MCFClnfo He is unbelievable, man. Id be surprised if City let him go. As much as Id love to have him, it would be very unexpected.
