Fulham host Reading in the first leg of their Championship play-off semi-final on Saturday (5.30pm kick-off) as both sides look for a return to the Premier League.

Slavisa Jokanovic’s men were outside the top six for much of the regular campaign, but a run of 11 wins from their last 16 matches alongside the struggles of Leeds United saw the Cottagers clinch a sixth place finish.

And much of that can be attributed to the form of midfielder Tom Cairney, whose 12 goals and ten assists were integral to Fulham’s rise up the table, and he’ll be looking to once again be the influential man against the Royals on Saturday.

However, Jaap Stam’s Reading have had a marvellous season under the Dutchman, his first campaign at the club following the sacking of Brian McDermott in the summer.

Stam has led the Berkshire club a third place finish thanks to 26 wins from their 46 matches, and former Chelsea man John Swift has been an important part in their rise to the upper echelons of the division with eight goals and four assists in the league this term, of which he’ll be looking to add on Saturday.

So, with these two key attackers set to go head-to-head at Craven Cottage on Saturday, here is how Cairney and Swift matched up in the Championship this season…
