Manager of the Month: Mick McCarthy (Ipswich)

After failing to pick up a win in the league since September 15, the pressure was on Ipswich Town to pick up their form in November. And Mick McCarthy’s Tractor Boys didn’t disappoint as they secured three wins and a draw from their four matches. A 2-0 win over Bolton was followed by the 5-2 thrashing of Rotherham, 2-2 draw with Wolves and a 3-0 win at Charlton Athletic. The 10 points collected moved Town up to seventh, level on points with Birmingham who currently occupy the final play-off spot.

Player of the Month: Darly Murphy (Ipswich)

Just like his team, Ipswich striker Daryl Murphy was also under pressure after failing to find the net in the first few months of the season. But as the Tractor Boys started to pick up points, the goals started to flow for the Irishman. Last year’s Championship top scorer with 27 goals, the 32-year-old opened his account in emphatic style with a classy hat-trick at Rotherham. He followed that up with a strike against Wolves and a brace in the 3-0 win at Charlton. It’s easy to see that the former Sunderland man has found his scoring boots once again.

Goal of the Month: Alex Mowatt (Leeds)
