Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, may have added to his back four in the dying embers of the summer transfer window, but he’s not done yet and, according to reports from Calciomercarto (via the Daily Star), the Italian boss is considering renewing his interest in Lazio defender, Stefan de Vrij.

The Dutch international was linked with a move to Stamford Bridge over the summer as Conte looked to bolster his defensive ranks, which resulted in a return to South London for David Luiz.

The former Feyenoord man, who is rated at around £15m, joined the Italian outfit from the Eredivisie in the summer of 2014 and has just shy of 50 appearances for his current club under his belt, as well as 30 caps for his national side.

As well as adding former blue, Luiz, to his squad over the summer Conte also bought in, full-back Marcos Alonso, striker Michy Batshuayi and Premier League champion N’Golo Kante.

Whilst the new boss at the Bridge can be happy with his squad, considering he will want to challenge for the title come the end of the season there may well need to be further additions in January.
