Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is considering a move for Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke as a replacement for Diego Costa, according to reports from ESPN.

Costa, who was left out of the squad to face champions Leicester City last weekend, has been at the centre of a saga at Stamford Bridge over the last week, with reports of a training ground bust up and a lucrative offer from China.

The former Atletico Madrid striker could, therefore, be on his way out of west London in the near future, leaving Conte on the look out for a replacement.

With reports earlier in the month suggesting that Palace manager, Sam Allardyce, could be ready to cash in on his Belgian striker, the Blues could swoop in.

The 26-year-old has 59 goals in 137 Premier League appearances across spells with Aston Villa, Liverpool and now Crystal Palace.

The Belgium international, often compared to his compatriot and former Chelsea man Romelu Lukaku, is getting his career back on track this season after his Anfield nightmare, with ten goals for the Eagles so far.
