Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has a huge few weeks ahead of him as the Italian looks to build a squad ready to take on the Champions League having already won the Premier League in his first season at the helm.

With that in mind the Blues have been handed a huge boost in their chase for Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez.

According to reports from AS, the back-to-back Champions League winners have okay’d the Colombian to leave the Spanish capital this summer, effectively giving the west Londoners the green-light to move ahead with the deal.

In addition to the boost from Madrid, making the Premier League champions confident of a engineering a deal, a move for the £42.5m-rated No.10 could well harm London rivals Arsenal.

As per AS’ report, the money brought in by a deal for Rodriguez will be used to complete a move for Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe, who has been heavily linked with a move to The Emirates this summer.
