Chelsea are preparing to receive a transfer offer from a Chinese club for France international Loic Remy, according to the Mirror.

The defending Premier League champions, who salvaged a last-gasp 1-1 draw at home to Manchester United on Sunday afternoon, have already sold midfielder Ramires to Jiangsu Suning in a surprise £25m deal last month.

However it now seems that Blues striker Remy has become the latest target for the Chinese Super League, with Shanghai Shenhua said to be ready to offer £11m for his services.

The 29-year-old, who has 31 international caps for his country, has scored just three goals in 16 appearances in all competitions for Guus Hiddink’s side so far this season.

The report also suggests that Shenhua are prepared to hand the Frenchman a whopping salary deal worth £5.5m a year to play in the Far East.

The Chinese Super League is the same club that signed Chelsea legend Didier Drogba back in 2012, as well as landing former Everton midfielder Tim Cahill only last year.
