Crystal Palace captain set to become summer target for Chinese Super League giants

Crystal Palace captain Mile Jedinak could become the latest transfer target for the lucrative Chinese Super League, according to the Mirror.

The Australia international would not count as a foreign player under China’s top-flight regulations due to his AFC Nation Status.

The 31-year-old, who has 61 international caps for his country, has made 19 appearances in all competitions for Alan Pardew’s side so far this season.

However Jedinak has started just five Premier League fixtures for the Eagles this term, with his team currently sitting 12th in the standings having not won since December 19.

The report suggests that the Australian will most likely be identified as a summer transfer target at the end of the current 2015-16 campaign, despite their current transfer window remaining open until February 26 in the Far East.

It was understood that Premier League rivals Norwich City and Sunderland made enquiries about the availability of the Eagles skipper during the January transfer market, but Palace refused to let him leave Selhurst Park as they weren’t able to recruit a replacement before the deadline.
