Crystal Palace, Norwich and Sunderland eye move for Championship centre-half

Crystal Palace, Norwich City and Sunderland are reportedly lining up surprise January moves for Championship defender Steven Caulker.

The Premier League trio are all exploring the possibility of signing the Queens Park Rangers centre-half next month, despite him being on a season-long loan at English top-flight rivals Southampton for the 2015-16 campaign.

The 24-year-old, who made his international debut for England against Sweden back in November 2012, has made eight appearances in all competitions for Ronald Koeman’s Saints so far this season.

The QPR defender has struggled to nail down a starting eleven spot at St Mary’s Stadium this term following the form of fellow centre-halves Jose Fonte and Virgil Van Dijk.
