Crystal Palace: One player the Eagles could sign in January

Shelvey could make the move to South London in January.

Currently sitting in seventh position in the Premier League table, just two points behind Manchester United in fifth, Alan Pardew wants to strengthen his Palace side during the transfer window as he looks to push for European football.

The Eagles have already been linked with a number of players covering many of the positions in the team, but one rumour that isn’t going away is a move for Swansea’s Jonjo Shelvey.

Pardew worked with the England international during the duo’s time at Charlton Athletic, and is keen to be reunited with the 23-year-old, who has made more than 75 appearances for the Swans, in January.

The reported offer to be launched for the midfielder is said to be around £7.5 million, but the South Wales outfit are understood to value him closer to the £10 million mark.
