Premier League duo Everton and West Ham are both interested in signing RB Leipzig striker Davie Selke this summer, according to reports (via Sport Witness).

The 22-year-old struggled for gametime at the Bundesliga outfit this season, managing just two starts in the league, and a further 19 off the bench.

That equated to 436 minutes of top-flight action for the Germany Under-21 ace, yet he still managed two goals in just nine minutes in their 4-1 win over Hertha Berlin at the start of May, as well as two other strikes over the course of the season.

And his lack of action has attracted interest from around Europe, with the English pair of Everton and West Ham reportedly keeping tabs on Selke’s situation.

Ronald Koeman’s Toffees are likely to see star striker Romelu Lukaku leave this summer after he rejected a new deal, and with back-up forward Arouna Kone also expected to leave at the end of his contract this summer, a new striker is imperative for the Merseyside outfit.

As it is at the London Stadium, as Slaven Bilic’s Hammers have struggled for goals at times this term, with their top-scoring striker Andy Carroll with just seven from a mere 18 Premier League appearances.

However, Selke’s former club Werder Bremen are thought to have already agreed terms with the 22-year-old, although the two clubs have yet to agree a fee, so there’s still an opportunity for both Everton and West Ham to bring the forward to their respective clubs this summer.
