Despite their poor showing against West Ham at the weekend Everton have had a strong first season under the stewardship of Ronald Koeman, with the Dutchman’s side currently sat sixth in the Premier League.

The former Southampton boss made the controversial move to Goodison Park last summer, citing the Merseyside club’s level of ambition as a key factor in his decision.

Another big temptation for Koeman was the spending power of new owner Farhad Moshiri, who seemed willing to give the former Barcelona defender money to spend on a level the Saints would not match.

With Toffees fans still waiting to see a big money arrival under Koeman, it looks as if the pair are finally ready to make a move.

According to reports from Belgium (via Sport Witness) the club have lodged a €25m bid for sought after Anderlecht midfielder Youri Tielemans.

The 19-year-old is tipped to go right to the very top in the years to come and has impressed enough to attract interest from both Chelsea and Monaco as well as Everton.
