Everton to steal Sunderland and Bournemouth target

Everton are reportedly set to nip in and seal a move for Napoli midfielder Jonathan De Guzman.

The Toffees are looking to add to their squad before the window shuts next Tuesday and midfield is an area boss Roberto Martinez is looking to strengthen.

Netherlands international, De Guzman, is keen on a move back to the Premier League, where he impressed in a two-year spell with Swansea between 2012-14.

Fellow top flight sides Sunderland and Bournemouth were thought to be leading the race for the 27-year-old, but now the Merseyside Blues have fought their way to the front of the queue and look ready to capture the ex-Villarreal star on loan.
