Jack Wilshere has agreed terms for a season-long loan move to Serie A side, Roma and is now waiting on a decision from Arsenal as to whether the deal goes through or not, according to BBC Sport reporter, David Ornstein.

The 24-year-old, who is set to leave The Emirates in search of first-team football having been left out of Sam Allardyce’s maiden England squad due to a lack of first-team action.

The central midfielder was reportedly set to opt for a move to a Premier League club on the morning of Deadline Day, choosing between either Crystal Palace or Bournemouth, however neither club have made an announcement so far.

The England international has seen his stock fall in North London since January, with the arrival of Mohamed Elneny followed by the addition of Granit Xhaka this summer, having made both of his appearances this season from the bench.

Wilshere is reportedly keen on a move to Italy, and is only waiting now on a decision from the club, who would more than likely see a deal taking their man away from Premier League rivals as beneficial to themselves.
