Fulham have reportedly joined Queens Park Rangers in the hunt for Bolton Wanderers’ Tim Ream.

After his side’s 1-0 defeat to Burton Albion in the League Cup on Tuesday, Trotters boss Neil Lennon confirmed that the club have rejected an approach from the Cottagers for their centre-half.

Ream, who has 13 international caps for the USA, failed to score in 49 appearances in all competitions last season for Bolton.

It is understood that fellow Championship rivals QPR have already had a bid turned down for the towering USA defender after not meeting the club’s asking price of £2m.

Lennon said: “There has been an original bid from QPR and now there is one from Fulham.

“He is not for sale. And neither club has reached the valuation of the player.”
