Scotland know that they must get at least a draw against Poland in their penultimate Euro 2016 qualifier on Thursday night at Hampden Park if they are to keep alive their chances of going to France next summer.

Gordon Strachan’s side currently lie four points behind the Republic of Ireland, who occupy the play-off position, but know they have a chance to catch up with their rivals hosting the table-toppers, Germany.

However, they face a tough task against Poland, who know they will qualify if they win and Ireland fail to get three points against the world champions in Dublin.

They also come up against one of the most in-form strikers in world football right now, Robert Lewandowski, who is the top scorer in qualifying with 10 goals.

Meanwhile, Steven Fletcher’s Sunderland side sit bottom of the Premier League table, but the striker did score in his side’s 2-2 draw with West Ham at the weekend.

Here’s how both players match-up from their respective qualifying campaigns so far ahead of Thursday’s clash…
