Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is considering a move to raid his former club and bring Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic to Old Trafford, according to reports from The Mirror.

The Serbia international, who left Chelsea in 2011, was brought back to the Premier League by Mourinho in 2014 and now the Portuguese is looking for another reunion with the industrious midfielder.

With the Red Devils having sold French midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin to Everton in the week, Matic is reportedly a high priority for the powers that be in Manchester.

However, a deal for the 28-year-old would be tough to come by considering his standing at Stamford Bridge.

The former Benfica man has become a key member in Antonio Conte’s side holding everything together alongside N’Golo Kante in the 3-4-3 system.

Although it could be an expensive deal for Jose Mourinho, according to reports before the window opened the former Real Madrid boss has serious financial back from the Old Trafford hierarchy.
