Leeds United have reportedly made the first move to sign Leicester City’s Liam Moore.

A whole host of Championship clubs have been monitoring the Premier League defender during the summer transfer window; although it now appears the Whites have stepped in with the opening offer for the centre-half.

The 22-year-old, who earned 12 international caps for the England Under-21s, made just 11 Premier League appearances for the Foxes last season before joining Brentford back in February on a short-term loan deal.

Uwe Rosler’s Leeds has stiff competition from fellow Championship rivals Bolton Wanderers, Blackburn Rovers, Brentford and Fulham, who have all registered an interest in Moore’s services.

However; it is believed that the Whites’ bid for the defender is a permanent move to Elland Road, but Leicester are keen on another loan deal for the player.
