Leicester favourites to beat Bournemouth, Liverpool, Southampton and Tottenham to £4.7m-rated Championship starlet

Leicester City have reportedly emerged as the frontrunners to sign Championship starlet Demarai Gray in January.

The Foxes, who lost 1-0 to Liverpool on Boxing Day but still top the Premier League table by two points, are keen on strengthening their already impressive attacking ranks in the New Year to keep up their momentum heading into 2016.

The 19-year-old, who is an England Under-20 international, has scored one and assisted another goal in 22 Championship appearances for Birmingham City so far this campaign.

However Claudio Ranieri’s side face stiff competition from the likes of AFC Bournemouth, Liverpool, Southampton and Tottenham who have all also been tracking the exciting Blues winger this season.

It is understood that Gray is available for around £4.7m next month.
