Swansea saw off Liverpool at Anfield for the first time in their history in Saturday’s early kick-off.

After a cagey first half, The Swans came out firing with two goals in quick succession from talisman Fernando Llorente.

The Spaniard tapped home from a corner before heading in on 52 minutes to shock the Anfield crowd.

Jurgen Klopp’s side woke up through Robert Firmino, who was on hand to score his 8th and 9th strikes of the season. It was 2-2 on 69 minutes and the game appeared to be Liverpool’s to win.

Yet 6 minutes later, Gylfi Sigurdsson pounced on to a deflected pass to put Paul Clement’s side in front.

Swansea hung on to climb out of the relegation zone and dealt a massive blow to Liverpool’s title hopes in the process.

The loss leaves Liverpool seven points behind league leaders Chelsea. The Blues now have a game in hand, at home to Hull on Sunday.
