Liverpool are reportedly weighing up a move for England international defender Michael Keane this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The Premier League side, who hammered West Ham United 4-0 at the London Stadium on Sunday to move back up to third spot in the top-flight standings, have been linked with the Burnley centre-half ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.

The 24-year-old, who has two international caps for the Three Lions, has scored two goals and provided one assist in 39 appearances in all competitions for The Clarets so far this season.

Keane, who started his career at Premier League rivals Manchester United, before arriving at Turf Moor on a permanent deal back in January 2015, following a successful loan spell, has been identified by Reds boss Jurgen Klopp as a potential replacement for fellow defender Mamadou Sakho.

Liverpool are expected to offload the France international this summer, with the club looking to pocket £30m for his services, having loaned him out to Crystal Palace this term.

Any deal for Keane could set back the Merseyside outfit around £25m.
