Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United are all keeping close tabs on Chelsea’s highly-rated defender Andreas Christensen, according to the Daily Mail.

The Premier League trio have been impressed by the Denmark international’s development after joining German outfit Borussia Monchengladbach on a two-season-long loan deal back in July last year.

The 19-year-old, who has two senior international caps for his country, has scored two goals in 25 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga side so far this season.

Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl has already publicly announced his wish to sign the young centre-half on a permanent deal this summer, but Chelsea see Christensen in their first-team plans as of the forthcoming 2016-17 campaign.

However Christensen; who agreed a new five-year contract with the Blues last summer, could return to Stamford Bridge way ahead of schedule as they are said to be considering recalling him from his loan spell in Germany following the news that fellow defender Kurt Zouma will be ruled out for six months after suffering cruciate ligament damage at the weekend.
