Manchester United were the subject of the biggest transfer saga of the summer last year, as they brought Paul Pogba back to the club, breaking the world transfer record in the process, and now it looks as if they will be up there once again.

Jose Mourinho has long been linked with a move for Antoine Griezmann, however, according to reports from Mail Online, his long time adversary and Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is now weighing in on the deal.

The former Barcelona boss, who is looking to continue his overhaul of the squad at The Etihad this summer, is supposedly considering a £75m swoop for the 26-year-old, with the future of star man Sergio Aguero still up in the air.

The Spaniard does still have Gabriel Jesus and Kelechi Iheanaccho on his books, however, will be wanting to ensure he has a squad ready to compete on all fronts next season.

United, meanwhile, will be hoping that Griezmann’s close friendship with international teammate Pogba can help them get the deal across the line.
