Man City have made further approaches for Borussia Dortmund star, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as manager Pep Guardiola searches for a replacement for Sky Blues legend, Sergio Aguero, according to reports from the Sunday Express.

Guardiola is reportedly ready to ring in the changes at The Etihad as he continues his mass overhaul of the squad in an attempt to finally establish City amongst the European elite.

The relationship between the Argentine forward and the former Barcelona boss is supposedly becoming increasingly tense, with the forward – who wrote himself into Man City folk law with that late goal against QPR to secure their first league title – being benched in the 4-0 loss to Barca.

As per the Express‘ report, Guardiola is extremely keen to bring in the Dortmund hitman, who has notched 90 goals in 155 appearances for the Bundesliga side since he joined from St. Etienne in 2013.

The Gabon international won’t come cheap, however, with Dortmund reportedly slapping a £58m valuation on the 26-year-old. Although, if you’re willing to splash nearly half-a-billion on John Stones then that valuation would look like peanuts.
