Man United and Everton have had their hopes of landing January target, Grigoris Kastanos dashed as his agent has spoken out over his desire to work on his Juventus development.

The Premier League side had both been linked with a move for the Turin-based youngster, who is yet to make a first team appearance for the Old Lady, however the 18-year-old’s agent has cooled the rumours.

Speaking to ESPN, Yanni Evangelopoulos said: “I know nothing about interest from Manchester United and Everton apart from what I have seen in the media,

“Grigoris, although young, is on a professional contract at Juventus and he was with the first team this summer on preseason.

“It is nice to hear of reported interest from other clubs, but Juventus are also a big club — in the top 10 in Europe in my opinion. Grigoris is focused on developing at Juventus and trying to do his best for them.”

The Cyprus international, who joined the youth ranks at the Juvenutus Stadium in 2014, is reportedly set to be offered a new contract by the Serie A outfit as they look to hold onto their starlet.

The attacking midfielder, who has three caps for his national side under his belt, has been valued at around £17m, however it seems that Mourinho or Koeman would have to stump up more than that to prise him away from the Italian champions.
