Manchester United will face La Liga outfit Celta Viga in the semi-finals of the Europa League next month following this afternoon’s draw.

Jose Mourinho’s men needed extra time to get past Anderlecht at Old Trafford on Thursday night to book their place in the last four, with Marcus Rashford netting the winner in the 107th minute to secure a 3-2 aggregate success for the Red Devils.

And they will certainly fancy their chances against Celta Vigo in the semi-finals, with the Spanish side currently tenth in La Liga with 13 wins and 13 defeats from their 31 league matches.

However, Eduardo Berizzo’s men have got past Shakhtar Donetsk and Genk en route to the last four and so themselves will be confident of knocking another favourite out of the competition. French giants Lyon face four-times European Cup winners Ajax in the other semi-final.

Nonetheless, Mourinho’s United will go in as heavy favourites against Celta when the two sides meet at the start of May, and it’s a draw which has been well received by several Red Devils supporters on Twitter…

And some are particularly happy that the first leg is away from home on May 4, like their last two knockout ties…
