Manchester City players are reportedly confident of playing alongside Chile international forward Alexis Sanchez next season, according to the Mirror.

The Premier League side, who thrashed Watford 5-0 on Sunday to secure third spot in the top-flight and subsequent qualification for the UEFA Champions League next term, have been continually linked with a mega money move for the Arsenal wantaway star this summer.

The 28-year-old, who has 108 international caps for his country, has impressively scored 29 goals and provided 19 assists in 50 appearances in all competitions for The Gunners this season.

Sanchez, who is set to face Chelsea on Saturday in the 2017 Emirates FA Cup final, joined Arsenal from FC Barcelona in the summer of 2014 and has netted 71 times in 143 games overall since.

The report suggests Citizen players are convinced the Arsenal ace will be playing at the Etihad Stadium next term, with the Chilean one of manager Pep Guardiola’s top transfer targets this summer.

He could set the club back around £50m, although Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have also been heavily linked with securing his signature.
