Manchester City have completed the signing of Celta Vigo forward Nolito on a four-year deal.

City met the 29-year-old’s £13.8million release clause, and the attacker has become new boss Pep Guardiola’s third addition this summer, with Ilkay Gundogan already joining for £20million from Borussia Dortmund, and Australia international Aaron Mooy moving from sister club, Melbourne FC.

Nolito started all four of Spain’s matches at the 2016 European Championships, before they were knocked out by Italy, scoring in the 3-0 win over Turkey, and he is now looking forward to linking up with Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium.

The Spaniard said: “He [Guardiola] knows a lot about the game and he’s going to help me progress as a player. I’m sure he’ll get the best out of me.”

Nolito, who has five goals in 13 caps for his country, scored 39 times in 103 appearances for Celta Vigo over the course of the past three seasons.
