Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has a busy summer ahead as he looks to build a side that can challenge at the top of the Premier League come the new season.

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager enjoyed a solid first term at Old Trafford, winning the EFL Cup and the Europa League however, having struggled in the league there is work to be done.

With that in mind, the club have got going and confirmed that an agreement has been reached with Portuguese side Benfica over a deal for defender Victor Lindelof.

However, the deal is yet to be completed with it still being subject to a medical examination, international clearance and personal terms.

Mourinho had made the £15.3m-rated defender a top target this summer, with reports claiming he was one of three on a list handed to club chiefs, alongside former United man Michael Keane and Southampton star Virgil van Dijk.
